Studio apartment was perfect for our needs. All the amenities were there. Spacious and well equipped. 10 minutes walk to the beautiful Hagley Park where there is a Botanical Garden to enjoy the many varieties of flowers in full bloom. The hostess was charming and very helpful. The breakfast was a continental type and it was ample. There is even a laundry for guests to use.. The Riccarton area where the B&B is located offers a number of restaurants where you can eat.

We arrived in Christchurch a lot later than we anticipated due to a Cyclone hampering our trip. With communication to the property owners we made arrangements to collect the keys from a key box. It was there and we had good directions to our room. The room was large, 2 beds as requested. We didnt arrive until 1.30am and we had to be elsewhere at 9,30. Breakfast was delivered at 8.30 which was excellent. They also arranged for a taxi to the car rental place.

The room was spacious and the motel is conveniently located, with a parking spot right in front. The housekeeper was friendly and always available when needed. Wi-Fi was strong, and the kitchen was well-equipped with all necessary cooking utensils. The heater worked well and kept the entire room warm, and the shower had consistently hot water.

I travelled to Christchurch to take some days off. The motel was very nice for the purposes I needed it. The room I rented had a kitchen and cooking appliances and a small outside area on the back; it was spacious and had a nice shower. It also has a laundry service, which is quite cheap. The location was perfect, very close to the city center but also to all the roads to get into the highways easily. The communication with the motel staff was good and friendly.

This is an authentic late 60s -early 70s motel here replete with tan plastic bathroom fittings. (Original, by the look) and matching curtains. It's the real deal, just like the 70s but with wifi and a flatscreen. I felt like I was in a movie ('all the president's men's' or 'no country for old men'?) If you are into this, you will love it here. In addition, staff are super helpful, the rooms were spotless. A bunch of restaurants nearby.

Nice clean spacious rooms with added comfort of kitchen and large shower area. all linen included and a desk area for doing work. TV is a reasonable size with sky to top it off. Extra little comforts like the heater and the electric blankets, the handsoap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner and hairdryer (even though I didnt use it) were awesome aswell.

Loved the two bedroom apartment had everything we needed, was warm with nice beds and great kitchen. A comfortable and surprisingly quiet stay considering it is also easily located between resteraunts and a handy 24/7 shop with amazing ice cream sundaes. It's not super fancy and that suited us just fine.

The Aalton Motel was the perfect accommodation for a short stay in Christchurch. It is a very beautiful 25 minute walk through the park and botanical Gardens to the centre of Christchurch. We found everything we needed in the motel and had a very comfortable night sleep. Our host was exceptionally helpful and provided us with the ideal breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble and I would like to thank them very much for making our stay so welcoming and comfortable.

The motel is a basic property. Our unit was spacious and had all the amenities we needed. The cleaning staff did a very good job. The staff were so helpful, including arranging a private driver to the airport. To get to the CBD, we walked through the park, but the bus stops are just outside. We would stay again
